Thank you to so many in the community that came together this past month to make up the final $100,000 by our Campaign close on April 30th.  Thanks to you we are able to fund critical North Shore programs that support your neighbors in need.  Program grants will be announced in early June.

Family Community Service Project - FULL

Saturday, June 2nd

9:30-10:30a.m. Long Hill, Beverly

Join us for a family volunteer event to help plant with The Food Project at Long Hill in Beverly.  Children ages 6 and older are invited with their parents to volunteer together.  To sign up, email clippie@nsuw.org (spaces limited).  Other adult volunteer opportunities are also available directly, visit: thefoodproject.org/volunteer

 

Save the Date - Women in Action Celebration

Thursday, June 21 from 8:30-10a.m. in

Gloucester

A celebration of our inaugural year of the Women in Action initiative and our first year's grants to North Shore projects aimed at increasing access to nutritious food and physical activity for underserved youth and their families. 


Women in Action Initiative

Thank you!  Women in Action raised just over our $30,000 goal for grants that will support local programs focused on childhood obesity and expanding access to nutritious food and activity for underserved children.  Grant announcements will be made in June.

 

NSUW 2012 Community Impact Grants

We will announce this year's community impact grants later this month.  Last year, NSUW grants supported 26,000 people on the North Shore in the critical building block areas of Youth & Child Development, Financial Stability and Health.
